San Francisco Superior Court Case No. 995151. Action challenging the construction of “live/work” lofts in San Francisco’s SOMA District and seeking to establish a Nighttime Entertainment District. Matter was settled before trial between petitioners, the City and County of San Francisco and UMB Corporation, the builder. Settlement entered into September 14, 1998, permitting live/work loft construction to go forward with notice of special restrictions recorded against the deeds of said buildings and amelioration of other environmental impacts.
