Mr. Williams has been engaged in a civil litigation practice more than 30 years concentrating on land use/zoning /real estate practice. Mr. Williams has represented residents and property owners from every district and neighborhood of the City before the Planning Commission, Board of Appeals, Board of Supervisors and other Administrative bodies. When necessary to preserve clients’ rights, Mr. Williams has also pursued many of these same cases in court. Over the course of his long career, he has litigated numerous administrative appeals, contract cases, business disputes, personal injury matters, landlord tenant cases and served as lead counsel for a major urban university. Mr. Williams has focused on land use in San Francisco, and in 1997 he tried to a successful verdict a landmark case forcing the City to enforce and fairly apply its Residential Design Guidelines and protect its neighborhoods. He has served the people and neighborhoods of San Francisco over the past 34 years of his practice.
